Howard and Abby Milstein Honored by the National Trust for the Humanities

On October 10, 2023, Howard and Abby Milstein were honored for their “deep and abiding commitment to the humanities, reflected in their transformational gift to the Trust to increase the impact of the Jefferson Lecture in the Humanities. Established by the National Endowment for the Humanities in 1972, the Jefferson Lecture is the highest honor the federal government confers for distinguished intellectual achievement in the humanities.”

In attendance and distinguished speakers included the National Endowment for the Humanities Chairperson Shelly Lowe, Secretary and CEO of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, Frederick Lawrence, and Dr. Gerald Lazarus.
